Delivery & Installation

It is the customer's responsibility to select and prepare the space where the spa will be located. Your spa must be placed on a structurally sound, level area — a filled spa is extremely heavy, so a reinforced concrete pad at least 4 inches (100mm) thick is advised for outdoor installations. Our delivery team will not install a spa on a poorly-built temporary surface.

Position the equipment compartment where water cannot drain towards it, keep access to all circuit breakers and RCDs, and maintain access to at least the entire front of the spa for periodic care and maintenance. If there is an existing hot tub that needs moving to allow access, let us know in advance — this will incur an extra charge.

Confirm your deck's maximum load capacity with a competent contractor or structural engineer before placing a spa on decking. Keep access to the sides of the tub for maintenance, and remember decking can amplify pump noise through vibration.

If you intend to sink your spa into decking: build your base, place the spa on the base, then build the decking around it. Never lower a spa into a pre-built hole.

Your spa is delivered on its side on a spa sled. As a rule of thumb:

• A clear path of at least 950mm wide is typically required.
• For height, add 250mm to the spa's longest dimension — a 2100mm spa needs roughly 2350mm of clearance on its side.
• The delivery trolley is not flexible and needs a wide turning area; steps are a particular concern and may require extra able-bodied help.

The customer is responsible for ensuring adequate access. If in any doubt, send us photos and measurements before delivery day and we'll advise.

• All electrical work must be carried out by a competent, certified electrician, certificated to Part P of the building regulations and conforming to BS:7671 wiring regulations.
• 13-amp ("plug and play") tubs run from a standard three-pin outdoor socket. Note that not all 13-amp tubs come with a cable and plug attached.
• 32-amp tubs need a dedicated circuit with the correct fuse breaker and RCD protection, wired in steel wire armoured (SWA) cable or suitable conduit.
• A rotary isolator switch is required no closer than 2 metres from the hot tub, and a coil of cable should be left next to the base so our engineer can connect it in the final position.
• Air source heat pumps require a 13-amp outdoor socket, a minimum of 450mm inlet space and ideally 1500mm for the fan outlet.

Indoor spas have special requirements: flooring must drain properly and cope with accumulated water, and room humidity will naturally increase — ventilation matters to avoid mildew and dry rot. Talk to us before ordering for indoor use.
